Is my dog suitable for pack walks?

We carefully assess each dog to ensure they are a good fit for small, consistent packs. We consider temperament, energy levels, size, weight, and play style to create calm, balanced groups where every dog feels comfortable and safe.
What is included in each walk?
Each Wild Side Walkie includes pick up and drop off, structured pack walking in safe open spaces, off lead time where appropriate, plenty of rest breaks, fresh water, and enriching playtime.
We focus on providing a fulfilling experience, not just a quick stroll around the block.
Who will be walking my dog?
Your dog will be walked by me, Sarah, the owner and operator of Wild Side Walkies. I founded this business after adopting my American Staffordshire Terrier, Penny, and developed my approach around real pack dynamics, calm leadership, and positive reinforcement.
I am fully insured and deeply committed to your dog’s safety and wellbeing.
Are walks chaotic or overcrowded?
Absolutely not. Walks are small, carefully matched, and never overcrowded.
Every dog receives full supervision and individual attention.
Our walks are structured, calm, and designed to be balanced and enjoyable for all dogs.
Does my dog need good recall?
Dogs must have good recall to join off lead pack walks.
If your dog’s recall is not yet reliable, they are very welcome to join on lead until they are ready.
We will always prioritise your dog’s safety and comfort.
How do booking and payment work?
Bookings are made via text message.
Payment is required at the time of booking to secure your dog’s place on the walk.
Payment can be made via bank transfer or PayID.
You will receive a message when your dog has arrived home safely after the walk.
How are dogs matched?
Dogs are meticulously matched into small, consistent packs based on size, weight, energy, and play style. This ensures they walk with the same friends each week, fostering a stable and happy pack dynamic. We avoid rotating groups of random dogs, prioritising familiarity and comfort. Every walk is fully supervised, never overcrowded, and designed to be balanced and enjoyable.
Will my dog be supervised at all times?
Yes, absolutely. Full supervision is a cornerstone of our safety first approach.
From the moment your dog is collected until they are safely returned home, they are under constant supervision.
While the outdoor environment cannot be controlled, I take a thoughtful, safety first approach to every walk and am fully insured for peace of mind.
